Your support has provided a vital boost to our In-Home Nursing Support Program, enabling us to deliver specialised care directly to those who need it most. Through this program, qualified registered nurses visit EB patients in their homes—typically three times a week for two-hour sessions—offering skilled assistance with dressing changes and essential support for families navigating the daily challenges of this complex condition.

The difference this makes is truly life changing. It eases the burden on families, enhances quality of life for patients, fosters independence for young adults, and ensures best-practice wound care in the comfort and familiarity of home. This program is especially invaluable for families with newborns coming to terms with an EB diagnosis, and for young adults beginning to build lives of their own.

Thanks to the generosity of donors like the Carji Club, this model of care has not only flourished in Australia but is now being adopted internationally by DEBRA member organisations in Chile, Spain, and Ireland.
